I noted on 40m during the ARRL DX SSB, where most contacts are split,
having to call on SSB down as low as 7025 made me feel a bit uncomfortable,
albeit still legal for us. It's kind of sad though, the only qrm down there
were illegal pirates. Generally its poor practice to use SSB below 7035 in
our region, but at least we don't encounter the OO style Stasi effect.
(off-subject, I'd recommend the book 'Stasiland' to see how bad it has been
in history).
