If you want to see what the FCC says about allowable bandwidth.. look at
section 2.202. They have a table and a formula for figuring it out. IT's
not related anywhere, specifically, in part 97 to go to 2.202 to find
out.. but the rules are there.
Just fyi. if you happen to have the gear to actually MEASURE your
bandwidth.. well, enjoy! All it takes is a decent spec analyzer, a high
quality stable reciever with a VERY accurate frequency readout, and a
'scope. It's not hard, but it takes a bit of time but it is highly
accurate and helps allay your fears. Of course.. if you have different
voice pitched operators you'll have to do a curve for each one cuz the
voice pitch affects the overall bandwidth.
