True enough...which means if the content the $ spenders are
interested in leaves QST, smart companies won't be spending their
advertising dollars there on ads for high-end rigs...and you end up
with the same problem, except you've already chopped off the
contesters...now you've got to find somewhere else to cut.
The bottom line is that the magazine industry in general is suffering
due to technology and economy and QST feels that strain. The
difference is that QST is the journal of a membership organization
and doesn't have to generate profits for stockholders, but should
serve its membership.
