[CQ-Contest] ROTTEN OPERATING

First let me say that I don't have as much experience as most on the list.
Second that I think this thread was mainly about the CW contest but the same
happens on Phone.
I being a small pop gun station almost always S&P. When the CQ ing station
busts my call I do almost the same as KG5U but I don't give the exchange
until he gets my call correctly. That way there is no way for him to legally
log the Q and I know that he has me in his log.

What I can't understand is when a station busts my call it is always the J
in KC5AJX even though I used the standard phonetics being "Juliet" but when
they keep missing it I sometimes have to resort to using "Japan"
