Much more tolarant are the ICE units. I believe their rating is
200-300w. That is why I chose the 419 over the Dunestar (along with the
fact that the ICE comes with the bandswitch standard).
I have blown my 20 meter portion once but it was becasue I had an
automatic tuner before the bandpass filter, funed it up with NO antenna
selected and transmitted for a while into it. Changed the value of the
capacitor, rendering the unit very lossy on 20m!
I have otherwise had the wrong band selected and transmitted through it
with no damage.
