My unfortunate task to announce WA7UQV became a Silent Key this morning.
He had suffered with lukemia for the past 6 years and had some remission
for 5 different sessions of kemo therapy. This time he didn't make it.
He was always there for a few Q's in almost every contest, even though he
seldom scored in the top 10. He was the supplier of a balloon kit for
160 M that many have ordered and used. He also did some operation from
XE2/WA7UQV and as XE2/N7NC from a beach location near San Filepe, BC. I
have had the pleasure of knowing Ron aka. RONNIE RADIO all of his
amateur years. He started as a novice and kept the same call all thru
his amateur career.
