unfortunately, Hans....the CAC does NOT get a lot to work from.
I was on the CAC as the S/E div rep for about 3 years...you know what....I
never really got a letter form a serious contester in that time. And think
I averaged about a half dozen pieces of correspondence a year.
Based on this small amount of input, seems to me like a CAC rep would GLADLY
pay attention to a letter form someone of "reflector" mind.
Unfortunately most of the mail I saw was not even about contests, it was
about Field Day...oh well.
IF THERE IS A TOPIC BURNING YOU UP - instead of just sending a note to
contesting.com relfectorland try carbon copying the CAC reps!
There is nothing more frustrating than hearing someone bitch about something
they haven't even taken the time to address "management" about - I see this
at my job big time...but it don't hold a candle to the un-able to write it
down contesters!
Back to bed....more soldering to do tomorrow!
K3LR has been pretty good about putting up a notice on CQ-Contest of
requests for input on specific issues...
So what do you think the new SS exchange changes will be - a precedence for
packet assisted s/o? A different prec for multi-ops....
A low power s/o
B full power s/o
Q masochist s/o
P Packet assisted
M Multiop
(will there be m/o l/p? - a feature sadly missing for those poor college
club ss ssb efforts!)
(just guessing here guys, no inside track here....)
I can't wait...although Mr. Fudd, W4EF, is right, lets hope that the big
boys can all incorporate it into their software for us in time! Wouldn't
you know it I just bought some, and now it is outta date...bummer.
All this talk about SS gets me warm and fuzzy....guess it is only a few
months away now....oh sh%& that means all that antenna work is still to be
done!!!!!
