Rob,
I agree, just used for mostly CQing in lean times so
you'll have a voice left on Monday after the contest is
the DVP's greatest utilitarian value.
I will sometimes also use the
"QSL QRZ NR6R" if it's a late contest run and my
voice is weak, otherwise just for CQs is fine.
Yes, voice/tonal inflection is a great controller
and one can just say their callsign ONLY in the right way and
and thereceiving stations will understand it as
QSL and I'm ready for the next guy !
