Huh? If a Euro in the WAE does not want to deal with QTC's, then
he/she need not ask anyone for them. There is no requirement in
the rules that Euro stations MUST get QTC's in order to
participate. I worked a bunch of Euros that never asked me QTC?

Not necessarily. My experience was that on Sunday, a lot of the
big guns went S&P'ing for the stateside/DX stations to get QTC's
from. I was able to find spots to CQ (I was QRP and a tribander
at 23m) and was asked a number of times for QTC's by S&P'ing Euro
big stations. I also was asked many times for QTC's from Euro
small stations (weak sigs) who, amazingly, copied (or at least
they ack'ed) most of my QTC's the first time.

I heard some pretty rare DX calling CQ WAE without takers
Saturday and Sunday.
It's a fun contest. It was my first time in it in many years. I
was glad I jumped in and got my feet wet again. I'd even like to
try it from Europe some time.
