Hello all,
I have a quantity of coaxial cable for which I need information
regarding impedance and velocity factor values. It is supposedly of
telephone company origin. Replies direct please.
The cable is slightly larger than RG8 and RG6, but smaller than
RG8. It has tinned, double, braided shield and the center conductor is a
single solid copper strand the approximate diameter of the center conductor
of RG59. The dielectric is solid poly. The ratio of inner to outer
conductor size and spacing suggests the impedance is in the 100 Ohm region.
It has a black PVC covering, and has TNC type connectors with a center pin
of appropriate size for the impedance. The only number on the cable is
375 .
Thanks in advance for any help from anyone. 73 de Milt, N5IA
