Hi Doug! Thanks for the Q on 80M. By the way, us RTTY contesters get crap
all the time from the QRP people on 40 meters where 7.040 is designated for
RTTY DX and QRP. You are NOT in the wrong! The confusing thing is the
window is "SUGGESTED" by the ARRL, it is NOT a requirement. Anyone can read
the "CONSIDERATE OPERATOR'S FREQUENCY GUIDE" printed in QST and see the
three little paragraphs. People should really lighten up! Geeezzzz.
