A short boom LP won't come close to a 3 or 4 element monobander
on any band. Also, NO SINGLE antenna (height) will cover ALL
the angles supported by the ionosphere. It is a good idea to have
a small multi-band beam (2 or 3 elements) at 35 to 40 ft for the
higher angles that propagate during daytime conditions on the
high bands and bigger / higher (60 to 120 ft) antennas for the
night time conditions on 20 / 30 / 40 meters. The boom of a
204BA can be matched as a rotary dipole for either or both
30 and 40 meters with excellent performance at 80 to 100 ft.
The Force 12 4BA covers 10, 12, 15, 17 M and could be
stacked nicely above a 20M monobander.
( You can NEVER have too many antennas! :-) )
