The three answers I have received so far split 2:1 in favor of there
being NO single-band assisted. However, the one who said that there are
such categories cited an instance in the printed results, which seems
fairly strong evidence that single-band assisted IS allowed.
So basically I'm just as unsure as ever....

Can someone tell me if there is a source or sources for RAC and Stu Perry
Software, or what the best way is to handle these contests via TR, NA or
CT?? Thanks, I really appreciate it. 73, and Happy New Year !!

I just found out I will be in St. John, V.I. for the contest. I would
love to get on for a few hours with a multi or guest op. Can't do a full
effort. :( This was my Christmas/10th Anniversary present from my wife.
What did I do right?
If anyone has any ideas or suggestion please contact me direct. I know
there are some hams on the Island. I just can't remember their calls.

Got this email the other day. Suppose this is
part/subsidiary of Svetlana Electron Devices?
No ref to www.Svetlana.com, and the web site that is
given does not mention electron devices.

Perhaps an available staff for your next multi effort from
St Petersburg? Helpers for changing tubes as needed....?

Hams speak loudly with their wallets. Having a "good product" is not enough.
It must be the "product" folks want and at a reasonable cost. Apparently, the
mark was missed in one or both of those areas. Maybe a more "customer-
centered" approach would be better received. Plainly, if costs are prohibitive
it is not a "viable product." Seems to me that the "market penetration" and
"product acceptance" were way off for a good reason?

I purchased an assembled magazine, not a magazine kit. Your sarcasm is not
well received. My subscription to Digital Journal is paid through 1998, what
kind
of refund can I expect after the other creditors are paid? None?

Evans, The best way for me to answer your question is via the
CQ WW score postings. In Sept. 1996 CQ on PAGE 108 under the
assisted postings starting last column: ASSISTED.
I see numerous single band listings. It also follows the rules
posting that Assisted exists only in the high power group.
This for CQ WW contest. (Not ARRL contests)

It is a standard problem. You can't solve it without hardware changes.
To get what you are trying to do to work you need a QSK type of amplifier.
If you put a scope on the amp output you will probably see a large spike.
This spike puts noise all over the band and others will love you.
