Yeah - I sent mine via plain old Fed-X too.

So did several other I know...

Boy, if the litigators screw this up for the masses, I'd hate to get on
the air with THEIR new calls (or their old ones...).
I imagine the trash on them for the rest of their lives would make 3895
look tame !!

Amen, all this complaining sounds like sour grapes. The rules were the
same for all. If you got your first choice, great - we all couldn't.
A random lottery is just that, random. If you perceive some
"unfairness" that's life. Contrary to popular belief, a Vanity Call
is not necessary to sustain life.
Per the FCC rules most (if not all) the new calls have been used and
QSL cards, license plates, shirts, ball caps, etc. purchased in good
faith. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't belief that the government would
want to be sued by the 3000+ hams who want to recover the costs of the
new QSL cards, etc. that they can no longer use.
If you didn't get what you want - I'm sorry
Scotty, W4WW yes it was my first choice
no flames please, replies to scotty@iquest.com

Dittos.
Here's my take on all this. We all had about the same chance to get a
good
call. The FCC home page still had no info about actually filing
electronically on the date I needed to mail my application (2 day
air,
mailed on Saturday), so I had a choice: either mail the app or wait
to see
how the e system would work, or not work, on Monday. A few
adventurers
gambled on the E system. Unless they had previous knowledge that
their
calls would receive priority, how can they be said to have done other
than
gambled and won? I chose not to gamble, and took my chances with the
rest
using snail mail. BTW I got my ninth choice, and am delighted.
Now some would have the whole game torn down and started over, just to
maybe
increase their chances? Come on. Probably illegal, too, as we've all
been
lawfully using our new calls for a week or so now. How to undo all
those
"illegal" qsos, once all the vanity calls are recalled. Come on,
folks,
let's get real. Let's get over it.
