I think this problem occer by his friends Display equipment . So, CRT Display.
He should exchange from old CRT Dipslay to New MRP2 or MRP95 or TCO type
one.
Might improved his interference situation.

My original intentions were to video this event and stay out of the way.
I was doing fine until Doug, N3ADL asked me if I wanted to sit down on
20 meters for a while. I thought about it for about 2 seconds and said
sure. That was the best hour I have ever had @ Franks!
This was a joint effort by members of the Potomac Valley Radio Club and
the Frankford Radio Club. All transmitters, antennas and operators were
located at W3LPL. QSL's will be automatically sent to every station
from ARRL Headquarters.
10 Meters: This was the big surprise band for the weekend. We worked
about 400 europeans. We worked three in the first couple of hours
(JX7DFA was one of them). We had a about 270 along with a lot of USA
between 1930z and 0145z. And then the biggest surprise was from 0700Z
on until the end of the contest we worked about 130 more. There was no
flutter at all, and all signals peaked on their true headings. We knew
Bertha was over the path, and it may have set up enough wind shear to
account for the polar path opening with Es conditions on 10 and 15
meters. One more surprise was JA7OWD at 0525Z directly over the pole.
Our best hour on 10 meters was 2100-2200z with 122 qsos. We only worked
4 South Americans, 0 Caribbeans, 1 African, 3 Oceania.
15 Meters: Nice run of Europeans from 0613z to the end. Worked JA1XRP
@ 0531Z, 5Z4BZ @ 0614z, VS6BG @ 1136z along with other JA's. Best hour
on 15 meters was 1800-1900z with 151 qsos.
20 Meters: This is where the bulk of our QSO's were made. We had 13
hours @ rates over 100. Biggest hours were 13z w/ 189, 12z w/ 171 and
16z w/ 164. We should have spent more time looking for Europeans on 20
meters SSB.
40 Meters: Our best hours on 40 meters were between the hours of 0100z
and 0500z. All four hours the rate was over 100 per hour. It was nice
to point the top antenna to the west coast and have the bottom fixed on
Europe. Noise from the storm was a factor but not nearly as much as it
was on 80 and 160 meters.
80 Meters: Conditions were definitely hurt by the extreme noise
generated by the thunder storms from hurricane Bertha. Many passes were
made to 40 and 160. Lots of Canadian activity. Very little long DX
worked or heard. Very little South American activity on the band
considering it is winter down there. Our best hour was 0500z with 69
QSO's.
160 Meters: Same as 80 meters, very noisy and lots of passing from
other bands. Our best hour was 0000z with 38 QSO's. We only worked 4
Europeans on this band and 3 of them were IARU HQ stations, So we only
worked zone 27! We spent about 2 hours trying to work some ZL but never
did get his call, Sorry whoever that was, it was noisy.
IARU HQ Stations: We had 77 QSO's with IARU headquarters stations. It
hurts missing all those HQ stations on 40, 80 and 160 meters. I hope
RAC (Canada) makes a better effort next year, we missed VY1RAC
completely. I heard someone work him but I could not hear him. We
missed 8J3XHQ/JARL and EI0RTS/IRTS, both were spotted on our packet
cluster. Where were the following IARU HQ stations: SP0HQ/SN9C/SQ0DXC,
LZ7A, ZA1A, IY2ARI/IR2MQP, 4V100RC, HB9A, 4U1ITU, 9V1ARU, T70A, P20A,
FF1REF/TM5M, TU2CI, LA7HQ/LG5LG, OE1XHQ, CT1REP, HK3LR? Surely other
IARU countries can get special HQ callsigns, especially in North
America.

WRTC Stations: This event added 190 QSOs to our log. We worked each of
the 54 stations at least once. Unfortunately we were unable to really
chase these guys and help them out without seriously hurting our score.
At one point a good number of WRTC stations were on 10 meters CW, and
since our time was limited on CW we concentrated on trying to call WRTC
stations expecially. Sometimes this had the bad effect of reversing the
pileup from the WRTC station to calling W1AW/3 which was bad. We had to
send the exchange to one WRTC station four times for all the stateside
callers suddenly calling W1AW. But we immediately left those
frequencies after working the WRTC stations. On 10 meters the WRTC
stations seemed to all have very equal signals. Also most of the WRTC
stations on 40 meters were equal, 1 or 2 were down from the rest. We
worked the following WRTC stations:

All contesters and others interested in amateur radio are invited to the
N3RR open house on Saturday, August 3, 1996. Here's the program:
12:00 Noon..... Party begins with drinks and lively conversation with the
"local" MD/DC/VA area hams.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm ... O'Brian's Pit Bar-b-Cue serves pork and beef buffet
(menu below) from their "mobile pit". (They'll have to shut down precisely
at 3:00 to avoid additional costs.) (We're told that they will bring enough
food for essentially all-you-can-eat!)
3:00 - 4:00 ....... Mike Martin, PEPCO's interference expert will conduct
a presentation and demonstration of high-voltage generated interference to
amateur radio gear. Mike will have his PEPCO interference tracking truck
available for actual tracking expedition/demonstration on-site. Mike also
says he'll stay and explain/demonstrate interference to amateur radio
frequencies as long as there are questions!
2:00 - 5:00 .... N3RR's Harmonics (Brian, 12 and Brittney, 9) will host
games for kids, including water balloon toss, volleyball, tug-o-war, garden
hose watering of hot kids in bathing suits (so, have the kids bring their
bathing suits) <Assumes good wx>, etc..
12:00 'til ??? ...... Tour/demonstration of N3RR's mega-tower station. If
the P5 is "ON", attendees can use their own call to try to break through the
west coast curtain!
The food/drink menu is:

We'll have a 20 x 40 foot tent set up to protect us from the elements.
Please bring your own chairs to sit on or use the grassy areas or
inside-the-house sitting areas.
We've just refurbished the basement of the house, so this will really be an

Hi to everyone -
I was delighted to see all of you "professional contesters" put in an
appearance on Saturday. Listening to my team EA1AK and EA4KR go at it was
like paging through the VZL contester listing. Sort of a high-speed
Romper Room; "I see W5ASP and K1ZX and W0CP and ..."
As a referee, it was deliciously hard to not leap from my chair and seize
the keyboard! Sweet agony! I believe that some of the high rate from the
participants can be attributed to the intense pursuit by you guys and gals
all day and into the night. Well done to all and when do we do it again?
Notes -
Best moment for our team W6U - calling CQ on 14060 and having 3V8BB coming
back on the first call! The host, myself, and the team all just about hit
the ceiling as the call came through the headphones.
EA4KR, Julio - awesome to watch him whittle an intense 40 SSB pileup in
the last hour to the last caller in minutes. It was like crumbling dry
leaves...he's very smooth, no wasted energy.
Nacho, EA4KR - now named "Chip" by me - really cranked it up on 40CW
towards the end...total concentration.
My guys were really impressive. The only gear that they were able to
bring was their Spanish-language keyboard and a paddle. Everything else
was completely new to them. They didn't even wind up using the keyboard,
so imagine using a wierd keyboard in a contest. And they made 2000 QSOs
in 18 hours...fun to watch and listen to them! Awesome competitors...easy
to see why they turn in such big scores from EA8 and EA9.
Our host's XYL, Myrna really put out a feed for us all day long. It's too
bad that contesters don't really eat much due to tension and nervous
energy. However, the team judge did his best (burp!). W6JD, Doug, was
very gracious and attentive, listening to almost the whole contest, as
well. Nice folks that made us really feel welcome...thank you!
W1AW/3 - the northernmost station we heard on 10 and about 3 s-units
louder than K1ZX and AC1O. What a signal all day long. Nice job, you
guys...hope you bring home the HQ prize.
The Liar's Net was pretty spectacular on the patio outside the hotel as
the teams rolled back in. Rumors were abundant and exciting. No-one knew
who would survive the "Nortonizing" log-checking in room 125, but the raw
QSO totals were really awesome. Not much sleep for anyone that
night...pure adrenaline and effervescence!
The whole event went really smoothly, although I knew the committee was
running triple-time behind the scenes. There were around 300 people to
take care of, including guests. About five times the size of the WRTC-90
in terms of sheer humanity. We loved being there and soaking it all up.
Maybe more later...I'm glad I didn't set "nomail" because it's been fun
reading all the messages. For "Chip" and Julio, thanks for the QSOs!!

I am sure you/someone acknowledged the QSO at 0502, early in the
final hour of the 'test. It's not in your log??
But I was still on 20 M around 02Z, as it was only 4 in the afternoon
here then, and 40 was not useful!! But I was listening hard on 20, but
heard no signals until about 0317, when K6P came thru on SSB, 14175.1.
I did then go to 40 CW, and worked W6X, W6G and K6S before 0355, then 40
died, so went back to 20 CW.
I am truly sorry if you did not log the 05Z QSO and get the credit you
should have recv'd!!

Earlier, I posted a list of station QTH, antennas and rigs of the top
six WRTC stations. K1ZZ mentioned to me that Jeff and Dan had not
used the TS930 they brought, but used the IC765 of the station owner
WA6AHF. So the first line of my post should read as follows:

The TH7 at NQ6X has been confirmed by KM9P. I'm hoping that the
stations, awards and publicity committees will pick up this thread and
complete it.
As an aside, I doubt there are anywhere near 100 volunteer workers in
the WRTC 96 organization. I would guess there's a core of less than
35, so you can see why we were working triple time!
However, the stations were carefully checked out, more than once. Feed-
lines were checked and replaced if lossy, SWR was checked and corrected
if things didn't seem right, locations on hilltops or sloping ground
were rejected as unfairly advantaged. The station committee did a very
thorough job that anyone who saw it would approve. As another example,
I personally measured the passband and stopband of each of the 200
I.C.E. band filters used in the stations at the option of the operators.
As a contester and radio engineer myself, I'm satisfied that we provided
a level playing field, with the biggest variations being differences in
QSB because of the substantial distance between stations and differences
in orientation of antennas. The winners did a heck of a job to stand
out from the superb level of the other champs!

This acquisition makes Tucker one of the largest

I talked with Craig AH9B on Tuesday and he told me that
he was going to be spending his full time on the
commercial real estate business that he has been involved
in for a number of years in addition to running Okla Comm.

construction) near Oklahoma City.
Jim Tucker WM5G has a super contest station in
the Dallas area where Jeff Steinman KR0Y and others
have operated in recent years setting many contest
