Gap Voyager

I am curious to know if any contesters out there are using the Gap Voyager
for low band (80, 160) contesting. Any comparison to low (vertical portion
50ft high or less) inverted L's would be appreciated. How is the Voyager
on recieve for noise levels?

Thanks.

Greetings and Salivations,

Fellow contesters, the Green Hornet (W3GH) and dr. Bafoofnik (****), will
once again be the Greekers & Ticket takers at the 4th annual contest dinner.
This is one really good reason to attend, also the world's funniest
contester and m.c. K1AR will certainly be at the peak of his humor. After
the contest dinner everyone is invited to the North Coast Contesters &
Franfort Radio Club's contest suite. Plan on a long enjoyable weekend
(thurs-fri-sat evening) and don't forget to visit the Sultans of Shwing at
the Society of Midwest Contesters suite (most contesters per square foot
in the entire world.) Also at Stouffer's!

I have received 5 contest dinner tickets from contesters who will be unable
to attend, if you have bought a ticket and are unable to attend or in need
of a ticket contact me for one of these tickets or any help in reselling
your ticket!

dr. Bafoofnik's humble beginnings.

1955: License as KN2MWK first contest victory 55 SS. Station consisted of
Eldico TR75TVI and Hallicrafters 8R40. The radio's were purchased
by mugging other 7th graders for their lunch money.

1956: General license and station was 75A-1 and Viking II, station acquired
from the back of UPS truck!

1960: Received second station license as W9DOB (dr. of Bafoonery), while
attending college in Chicago. Paid for college by being a race track
tout at Sportsman's Park. Station in late 60's and early 70's Collins
S-line and Alpha 77 Hanger Queen! Funds earned as chauffeur and hit
man for Don Miller. Went QRT from radio in 1973.

1977: Received present call ****!

1990: Came back to radio!

1991: Bamboozled the Green Hornet into using his stations in contests!
(The Green Hornet is truely one of the finest people in our hobby
       despite his association with me.)

**************************************************************************

If you don't attend the contest dinner and contests suites, you've missed
the best contest of the season!

Your humble savant,
dr. Bafoofnik ****
