According to the QRZ Callsign Database, Dr. Bafoofnik (more appropriately
Baffoonik or Bafoolnik) is none other than:

SPENCER (SPIKE) LAZAR, W9XR, Monroeville, PA

To those of you who have lambasted ON4UN recently: his recent
NCJ article explains that his local PT&T instituted a power limit of 2KW for
international contests while using the special OT calls. Please read the fine
print!

Subject: Ford noise?

Hi All,

I remember a very recent FORD PICKUP TRUCK
noise thread on the refelector. I pretty
much ignored it, not having a Ford Pickup.

Now, my good friend Craig, WA6OXK, has
installed HF gear in his... new FORD Pickup,
which he wants to use in CQP and Field day,
as well as normal mobile operation.

If any of who posted fixes for the Ford EMI,
and especially the fuel pump (wasn't that it?)
could you please send him an e-mail at

  ah.dcm@forsythe.stanford.edu

and describe your experience(s).

Doesn't matter about there being specific team members or not... if you
wanna contest then do so. Pick your own partner and go at it. The scores
will be open to all, and you can beat 'em or not, for the only guy that
really matters: yourself. That's the way to enjoy life, and the best
competition there is: doing your own best.

Well, now that we have nearly a whole Winter season under our belts,
would anyone who built and used one of those EWE antennas be
good enough to share their observations?

I may be able to borrow some of my neighbors' property for a Beverage
or two (which will doubtless out-perform the EWE), but I'm still
looking for a solution for the other directions.

I have an IC-775dsp and would also like to do this. Has anyone done it?
Which resistor is the "feedback" resistor?

Thanks!
