Never fails, amps go haywire at contest time. One of the local contesters
has a couple of SB-220's that have this problem. The plate current shunt
resistors blow/burn up even if the tubes are removed from the amp. (r-1 and
r-3) if anybody has had this problem and can shed some light on the fix we
sure would appreciate it . Pse respond directly to me vice the reflector
tnx N4SR

I did RTTY for about two months a few years back, mostly because AR bought one
of
those fancy all-mode RTTY/XYZTOR gadgets and thought it was great.
Worked 90 or so countries, including one contest operation.
THe best thing about the contest was all the SSB/CW contest guys I worked who
commented "Gee, DG - never knew you did RTTY !".
Got to be too much trouble hooking up all the stuff, so I eventually gave it
up. It's a weird mode. Pileups are strange-sounding.
It was interesting enough that someday I'll do it again.
In the meantime, if Randy wants to borrow all the stuff, he's welcome to it,
as long as he promises to stay off the other modes on certain weekends...

Is there a "master" list of contests that can be d/l'ed?
TIA
