This is a fairly long message!!!:

Whew. Didn't make all 14 grids--only 12 (sorry!).
Conditions variable, good to poor, some very brief openings.
FM16: 53 Qs 83 pts 22 grids = 1,826 poor site
FM26: 67 Qs 107pts 40 grids = 4,120 good site
FM17: 56 83 29 = 2,552
FM27: 83 119 45 = 5,335 was there a long time
FM28: 37 63 12 = 756 guess everyone was asleep
FM29: 33 54 14 = 756
FM19: 46 79 17 = 1,343 now QRP-dying batteries
FM18: 34 55 15 = 825
FM08: 25 45 14 = 630 THUNDERSTORM
(LAST YEAR'S BEST SITE. THIS YEAR'S NEXT TO WORST...)
FM09: 31 53 15 = 795
FN00: 22 37 14 = 518 very poor site-was ok in JAN
FN10: 26 46 14 = 644
TOTAL 513 822 251 20,100
Old Scoring Method 206,322
PTs/Qso 1.6: a personal best, but 48% mults is a new low.
1296 was the best band: thanks to all who had the patience
to let me put up a mast and antenna and work you: Best signals
were WA4VHF (LOUD!) and K3LNZ (very LOUD!). Best DX was
FM26 (VA Beach) to Baltimore (FM19) w/ only 10 w/ no preamp.
432 was also excellent Saturday. Best DX FN41 from FM26.
222 FM only...no comment!
2M was not good--no western or northeastern dx.
6M e-skip helped--worked 6 midwest/southwest stations with 150w
and a "SQLOOP".
My vote for best op is N4MM: I had about 15 Qsos with John in
a total of about 30 seconds--instantaneous band change helps!
K1RZ gets the tee-shirt for most Qsos--about 42 out of 60 possible
W3ZZ a close second and K3MQH (35/48) third...
Thanks to W3ZZ, WD8ISK, WA6GVC, W3EKT, ND3A for support
and equipment loans.
Highlight: FM26 openings
Lowlight: losing battery power on second day, Thunderstorms
Observation: There are some good multi-ops that could have
had much higher scores with 60 Qs and a bunch of band/grids from
me...guess I will have to publicize better and be louder...73 Brian

The second poorest conditions in 12 years from this site, only slightly
better than last year's worst-ever. Little Es, mediocre scatter, and no
real tropo enhancement. Cool temps, rain and an assortment of wx fronts
passed through or near. Thanks to N0AKC who delivered a 3N204 for the
#@&*!% MMT228 transverter Saturday night; got that installed, only to lose
it again late Sunday afternoon. Love those MMTs, right guys?

I hope you guys in the East are happy: All our rovers stayed in the garage
thanks to the new rules. The only ones on the road came down from VE4.
Sunday afternoon was again reduced to napping and watching TV. BORING!!

73, Paul W0UC
