COMMENTS:
After doing most contests low power, I decided to turn that "tube
thing" in the shack on. Wife and kids were in Massachusetts
visiting relatives for long weekend (sounds like that was, as
usual, the place to be). WWV numbers (87/3/1) sounded pretty
good, so SOAB I went. Middle Tennessee contesting is different
than it was in South Carolina, but it is still fun. Highlights: a
few new countries, breaking a few pileups, some great 15 meter
runs both mornings, nabbing 3 new mults in last 10 minutes on 40
(9K2, EA6, CO) and several 6 band Qs (EA8EA, J75A, PJ9JT, P40R,
6E2T). Lowlights: Twenty meters, and even worse was oversleeping
thru EU sunrise Sunday morning after good luck Friday nite. Oh
well, I won't give up the hobby in the forseeable future.

My favorite pet peeve is when you call in a pileup, the DX station tells you
you are a dupe, but DOESN'T SIGN HIS CALLSIGN! This happened to me several
times this weekend.
