As I expected bad storm on Sun, I felt condx were OK.
Didn't work USA on Sat although I was told KC1XX was 59++.
K5RM had such an outstanding signal when 15m closed
for others in USA that I suspect he was at W5WMU GAS!
Some EU op's going to Carribean's know how to handle home mults (P40E),
others leave a lot to be desired (8R1K & much of the USA ops).
FR5DX was my greatest frustration, UN2L nicest surprise on 80m (Tks Willy).
Cheated P20WW with South Africa spelling and then explained that I am in EU
(I tried Sydney 56 Australia but it didn't work)!
I wonder how the "purists" feel about that kind of phonetics?
(Especially from the QRP/LP stations)

IC-751A, TL-922, HF2V @ 9m & 2-el quad @ 13m
The 751A replaced my normal 751 which has progressed from an intermittent into
a permanent failure of the frequency read out. As it turns out, the 751A's
oscillators are outta whack, with corresponding RX/TX problems, not to mention
constant flack from the DLs who didn't like my audio. The night before, I
learned that the 922 is built from the band switch out - replacing one has
convinced me that next time it fails, I'll just jack up the anode caps & drive
a new amp underneath. Maybe I should just stick to the transistors.
Plenty of fun with VS6WV, VS6WO & VR2GO also QRV single op assisted. Nobody
was putting in a serious effort. The battle to put out the most spots, the
best spots, etc. definitely beat trying to work them.
The Absolutely No Clue About Propagation Award goes, without question, to PJ9U.
We spent our Saturday evening listening to him at his _sunrise_ running
_stateside_ on 40. XF4, XE & South America were workable for us at the time.
A special Absolutely No Clue About Mathematics endorsement will be issued if
it turns out that he missed mults in our area. Since when was addition more
important than multiplication?
