I have the opprotunity to purchase a late model TS930S. I've used one
before, but am more familiar with the 940. I am aware of some of the
external differences between the two (computer infc, knobs, etc.) but
would like some info concerning internal differences.
Was any significant improvement made in the 940 over the 930 in areas of
overall rx performance, noise floor, dynamic range, synth noise, etc?
Any comments, opinions, and preferably facts would be appreciated.
Please reply direct and not on the reflector. I'll post a summary if
enough responses warrant.

Both V 4.09i and 4.11i do not seem to work in the "Pile-up Trainer Mode"
It will not let you log the call, correct or not. Do I happen to have a bad
version or glitch? does anyone else use this function succesfully or have
the solution?
Please reply to me directly as I do not appreciate reading everones inane
replys on the reflector. I will post the solution and compressed version
of the software to a local public directory if anyone cares.
Also, VoicePED was not available at .osaka-u. only the "upper" version of
PED. Upper being the Japanese term for newer version according to a
letter I got from Jerry, AH0K, author of CT Midoki.

As Scott, KA9FOX, mentioned in his laptop rental post, I'm going to PJ7-land
for CQ WW SSB this year. I'm in the process of sending off for the license,
but I ran into a snag yesterday that hopefully some of you guys have solved
before.
I went to my local International Bankdraft (IB) provider to get a draft
for the license fee, but he told me that they didn't know how to do IBs
for the Netherlands Antilles. They could find no established exchange rate
for NA Guilders. We then got to looking at the license application, and it
says "... an International Bankdraft for $15.00 payable to LandsRadio or
$15.00 in cash ...". Well my bankers said this is confusing because an IB
is issued in some foriegn currency but the application says US dollars.
They said the NA radio authorities would probably take a Certified Check in
US dollars for the fee.
What do you think? Replies directly to me, and I'll post a summary later.
