If you still have that equipment, try bringing it up with radio control,
then typing the command NORADIO. Ken put that in a while back when I
complained that there was no way out if the radio connection isn't there
and you've just made a QSO.
It doesn't completely turn off radio communications, just the query after
each QSO. So you will probably find that you can control the frequency
of your multiplier rig from packet, but that the band won't jump after each
QSO.
I have not actually tried this.
