If the tube is instant on idling it won’t to anything.  Just let it rip.

Please offer any suggestions for installing a new triode in a Henry amplifier.

I've purchased a NEW Eimac 3CX1200D7 (YU121) from Richardson Electronics as I
wanted a spare for my Henry Ultra amplifier. The amplifier is running well with
its original (1991) Eimac 3CX1200D7 in place, so I want to remove that one and
place the new one in service to ensure its working well and to determine output.

What is the best way to start up a new ceramic triode?  My plan was to install
the tube and turn on the amp and let it idle for 4 hours before applying any RF
to it.  The 3CX1200D7 is an instant on tube that will have 3600/4600V plate
voltage and 6.3V on the filament.

Suggestions?
