Hello all,
I'm sure this has been discussed in the past. I attempted to access the
archives to look for it, but since I had no idea of when it may have
been discussed, it was pretty much as dead end. I would have to do a
manual search of EVERY month of archived material. I saw no way to do
any sort of 'global' search.
What is the current thinking of using an equalized resistor, a cap for
transients, and the diode. I seem to remember reading that because of
modern manufacturing, either the resistor, or the cap, or both, were no
longer needed.
Can someone elaborate, or send me to the right place.
