This ominous scenario here sounds to me a precursor to the company going
down the proverbial gurgler....you can't ignore the client interface and
customer service; it is absolutely critical to maintaining enduring good
relationships in the ham radio equipment business. Small scale operation or
not, this key factor is ignored at one's peril.....

This is a small scale operation. They have publicly stated that they are
devoting their limited resources to building and fixing gear, NOT to
answering the phone, and that they have purposely not hired anyone to
answer it. Think about it -- that person answering the phone has to get
paid, so they instead use what they would pay that person to instead pay
someone to build and fix radios!
