Bill,The ACOM 2000A Manual (Specifications) clearly states: "1500W no mode limit. In continuous carrier modes for transmissions longer than 15 minutes, the optional fan must be mounted." You should had called the seller or manufacturer after the amplifier did not perform according to the specs. 73, Val LZ1VB Only on SSB or CW. On RTTY it will overheat after a few minutes.
