[Amps] SB220 Bandswitch arcing

I picked up a well abused sb220. after adding a Harbach capacitor kit and meter 
board, I find the band switch arcs. Pulling or pushing on the bandswitch knob 
changes tuning, it eventually works. But which came first the chicken or the 
egg, If I replace the bandswitch without doing anything else will it happen 
again, or was it tuning error?de Dick NY1E
