I replace RFC-2 in the SB-220 with a 25W glitch and never had a problem with
it. Bypass it on both sides with a 1000pf 6-10KV disc ceramic....not a
Chinese ebay POS either.

I've got a Aerotron Navy surplus 3-400 amp I've final got aroundto turning into 2x 3-500z 50 MHz monobander & I didn't preplan as well as Ishould have for the glitch resistor. Using a 25 ohm 50w ohmite wire woundfor glitch & the only place with the layout of the tank has the resistor at90 degrees to the tank coil (Pi circuit) about 2 inches away. Anyone seeany potential problem with that- coupling, current, etc? Wanted to mount it that way because the cooling fan will keep temp down & won't interfere withflow around the tubes. Only other practical option without excessivererouting of B+ would put in in a location in the PS deck that won't get thecooling I want it to have. Any input appreciated. 73 Dave N3DB/8R1DB _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
