Years before the gray hair I use to do component engineering. Part of the
job was to decapsulate parts It took quite a collection of nasty chemicals,
If it didn't
or still had access it would be interesting to see what is actually inside
them. If they are actually fake vs just junk parts it might not be that
hard to do.

The really scary parts are those confirmed to be in car computers and ABS,
US fighters, war ships, NASA satellites etc, etc.
