Paul, I'm going to convert a SB221 to a single band 160M amp. It seems most of the amps these days use a toroidal coil for the 160M Output PI network. Does anybody know what cores are typically used for the 160M toroid? A large toroid made from type 2 powdered iron material, which has a permeability of 8 and is coded red, should be fine.
