Which brings up the question could the existing tap be shortened and/or  
made wider to reduce the L?

To lower the inductance, the turns need to be  farther apart. ?However, 
that will affect the other bands as well. ?It would  be better to move the 
15-meter tap so that less turns are selected. ?I would  start with 1-turn less.

##  1 turn is probably  way too much.  Try just one quarter of a turn.   
You are  correct though.  If you spread the coil further apart, you will lower 
the  uh on 160-20m as well.   160-30 m is no big deal, but
it will  cause an increase in loaded Q on 20m.      Trying to shift a  tap 
just a quarter  or half a turn is not always easy some  times.   But it can 
be done...use longer cu strap for the tap....and  if its also wider, you wont
get any increase in uh caused by the  tap.
