You are overlooking resonance. The 1 amp rating will be FAR exceeded if
the
tank circuit is ever mistuned, i.e., lightly loaded or accidentally
connected to the wrong antenna while driven at or near full power.
If you go back through the archives of this group, you will see the
admonition over and over to AVOID RESONANCES in the plate tank choke, both
series and parallel.
The Ohmite Z-50 would be a good choice for filtering the HV lead or other
leads to keep RF out of the power supply on six meters, but not for a
plate
choke.
