Friends,
I keep running into old Craftsman table saws, either at Garage Sales, or, the
latest, in a Good will store, for cheap, very cheap.
I noticed the very strong, machined flat, usually cast iron Extension to the
table, and find they are beefy, relatively light, and have already drilled and
sometimes tapped holes in their very square, very flat sides. If you are
building that monster HV supply, or heavy RF deck, these could be perfect,
rugged bases for them.
Or, even decent flat platforms for small VHF or UHF GP antennas, etc...
