Saying that, I would say simply dropping off the drive and living with less 
output power while tuned to max is 
better than dropping output by mismatch by an undefined amount and which may 
vary from amplifier to amplifier.

output.
How do we agree to detune it by the same degree and by what degree to detune it 
by
for best results?
