Bill, Dave, Mike, Gerald Thanks all for the good advices !. Looks like it all "depends" and some hands on experiment is mandatory :-). It seems I don't need to scrap the transformers yet... Think I will first get some low voltage 3 phase transformer to get a very low voltage (but 3 phase) to safely make some different arrangement and measure the various parameters. When I find some conclusions I'll post it here again.
