The Swan 350 uses Auto fuel hose pushed onto a 1/4 inch shaft. Been working
for years.

Model engineering shops? Those that deal in parts for gas engined miniture
racing cars?
For real light duty (next to no torque) some heavy gauge plastic tube (coax
outer sheath?) pushed over the ends of 1/4" shafts, often works OK,
insulates, and has a modicom of flex. Good as a temporary fix, if nothing
else.

Oddball stuff is getting harder to find these days!
I'm looking for a few shaft extensions, couplers, flexible couplers, right
angle shaft couplers and the like for my current kluge amp project. I
used to have a variety of them, but they've been used or given away or
grown
up and left home or been lost in moves. I've looked in the Grainger and
small parts online catalogs, but I'm not seeing anything for what used to
be
standard 1/4" shafts, just big stuff. Any suggestions for?
