Rob,
I remember seeing these power supplies advertised in QST a few years ago.
Unfortunately the manufacturer, Watts Unlimited, is no longer in business.
If anyone has one of these supplies they're not using, I'd really love to
find one; failing that, I'd love to get a copy of the documentation, and see
if I could make one up.
The idea is a neat one, and I like amplifiers that have some HV on them!

There's also Electronic Products Design in N.C. http://www.epd-inc.com/

I have one of their transformers, a 1 A 120 - 0 - 120 to 2450 v. no CT
45 lb job that I bought used a month ago. I have not tried it yet but
it looks like a very well made transformer. It is a shell type open
frame unpotted. Only 1 year old. I got it for a friend but it
looks so nice I have to get it to him soon or I'll start wanting to
keep it.

But, if you are interested in portability, and don't mind getting a
bit out there, there was a company that advertized in QST for a time,
and may still, with a product that was a h.v. switching supply. I
think it was 2.5 KV but don't recall the current. But the whole p.s.
was only around 20 or 30 lbs. I was not interested in it because I
need more v. and am not interested in portable QRO so I'm afraid I
don't recall much else about it. They ran a 1 or 2 column inch
display ad for several years. Take a look through a few issues from
the past year or two and the ad will probably be in them. Otherwise
hamfests, eBay, qth.com probably are your best bets for used plate
iron. Don't underestimate local word of mouth. Let it be known you
are looking for a h.v. transformer and someone might free one up.
