And low dissipation.  Without forced air they rated at 300 Watts and are 
only good for 150 to 200 watts output per tube in class B.

That's probably what pushed the price up to unrealistic levels.  Last 
spring IIRC they were fairly cheap. Now it's common to see them over $200.
