I have two here. One is mine, the other belongs to a club that I am
affiliated with. The older one belonging to the club has a fried HV
rectifier that needs fixing and mine has some other as yet undiagnosed
problem (faults when RF drive is applied - even at very low levels).
I liked them better when they were working :-)
I also have two Drake L-7s. When it works, I prefer the Alpha 91B over
the Drake. The Alpha does QSK and makes a bit more power than the L-7
which helps make up (at least a little) for the severally constrained
radial system on my 160 meter inverted L antenna (50 x 100' lot). The
Drakes also break from time-to-time, but they are a little more
straightforward to work on (sort of like the differences under-the-hood
between a 60's vintage car and a more modern car).
