REPLY:

A pi-network is a parallel resonant circuit, believe it or not. Redraw
it in the conventional "vertical" manner and you will see you have two
caps in series with the ground moved from the bottom to the "tap"
between the two caps. Where the ground is positioned does not change
the basic parallel resonance. 

You can "tap" a pair of capacitors just as you can tap a coil. That's
how a pi-net works.
