As I recall, having built one of those amps way in the before time, Sylvania
and
National Untion brought the beam forming electrode out to the base.
Apparently
others manufactured the tubes with internal connections. No doubt two plants
were
involved making the tubes.
5 for a buck, what a deal, but then I'm and old guy.
