I had a pig, don't recall the exact values (20 years ago) but what I remember doing to decrease the voltage out was wind some additional primary wire in reverse around the outside and that dropped the voltage to an acceptable level. Wasn't pretty but it worked well. PS was around 5K resting. It was in a big old cabinet on rollers. Probably still going strong in northern Illinois.
