I would normally agree Carl, but when they are all 5 out of 5 then that's
okay. It's the posts that are 1 out of 5 I would question, usually operator
error.

Most of us take anything on Eham with serious skepticism, especially
such a smal sampling.

Subject: [Amps] Ameritron AL-82 Questions
Hi all...I'm looking at getting an amp to add to the toys in the shack.
I've narrowed down my search to the Ameritron AL-82 and I had some
questions
for those of you that have experience with them.
1-How does this amp hold up to contesting, specifically CW and RTTY?
2-Are there any common problems with these amps that I should be aware
of?
3-How does the QSK option work?
If anyone knows of one on the used market, please feel free to let me
know
off the group.
Thanks,
Dave
