There are 3 kinds of 2-tube 77 amps that I can think of off the top of my
head:
1. 77SX, produced by the factory as such.
2. 77DX, converted with a kit sold by Alpha to dealers or pro technicians.
Some have been beefed up with inboard or outboard Peter Dahl components to
get a stiff 4000 volts Ep under load. Peter Dahl had an SX himself that he
did many improvements to, and sold to the public.
3. 77DX, converted with a kit from Alpha, after-market kit suppliers, or by
collecting parts by an individual hobbyist.
Obviously, the "Factory 77SX" brings the most money, and is the rarest to
obtain.
Just because the front panel says "77SX" does not mean it is a factory
model. Alpha and several others sell/sold new front panels. Any 77 with
replacement front, side, and top panels will bring more $$ because the
original paint turns sticky like fly paper over the years.
The going price seems to be $5000 and up with 100% tubes...YMMV.

Why reply off the list? Is this some proprietary information?
