MY SB-200 WORKS FINE ON 20 & 40 METERS. (PI-NETWORK INPUTS) HIGH SWR INPUT
AND POOR OUTPUT ON 10, 15 & 80 METERS. (L-NETWORK INPUTS) USING A TUNER
BETWEEN THE EXCITER AND THE AMP, I CAN CORRECT THE HIGH SWR AND ACHIEVE GOOD
OUTPUT ON THESE THREE BANDS. I DO NOT THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO DO THIS. ALSO,
I
DO NOT WANT TO EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT LENGTHS OF COAX BETWEEN TRANSCEIVER
AND AMP. OTHERS HAVE CORRECTED THIS ISSUE BYCHANGING THE L-NETWORKS TO
PI-NETWORKS. I FOUND A DIFFERENT COPY OF THE SB-200 SCHEMATIC WHICH SHOWS
PI-NETWORKS ON 10 & 15 METERS. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS AN EARLY MODEL OR A
LATER
ONE OR WHY HEATH MADE THE CHANGE. THE CAPACITOR VALUES ARE SHOWN, BUT I
THINK THEY MUST HAVE USED DIFFERENT INDUCTORS. ON THE L-NETWORK, COILS FOR
15M
ARE PART# 40-727, 10M- #40-728. ANY INPUT REGARDING MY INPUTS? TNX: KENT
