Several years ago, there was an article about using a 2N3055 as a switching
transistor in the B- of a linear amp. The 2N3055 or it could have been a
TIP49, was used to act as a "relay" when the transistor was turned on. Does
anyone remember that article and have a reference point to look at? Gee, I am
not usre I've made myself clear here.

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't
have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find
any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. Is
Common Sense divine?
