However there are instances, for whatever reason, that a resistive material
solves the problem. National Radio discovered this in the early 60's when
building a Jeep mounted 4CX1500A HF xcvr for the USAF. Size and contract
restraints resulted in an anode "cavity" that couldnt be tamed by
conventional methods. The engineers went with out of the box thinking on
that one.
