The glitch resistor makes perfect sense. However, it seems like there could be
a problem with putting a fuse in the high voltage section - without more.
Assume you are operating normally and for some reason the high voltage fuse
blows, that removes plate voltage - but does nothing with the driver. So, the
operator may continue to operate - or even talks louder.
So, it seems that there needs to be an additional circuit to prevent operating
the final amplifier without plate voltage. There could be sensors incorporated
to compare drive with rf output (similar to the linearity detector).
Using a relay actuated after the fuse, for the high voltage would allow
breaking the transmit/receive relay in addition to shutting down the high
voltage supply.
