Hi all,
I have a Clipperton L that has low power output that is more pronounced
as the lower bands are selected. I think that there maybe is two things
going on, one being the low output and the other being only 50 watts
increase in power when switching to SSB mode.
On 15 meters the output is 500 watts with 100 watts drive with the CW
setting. If I switch to SSB the power goes up maybe 50 watts.
On 20 meters the same happens but only 400 watts out.
On 40 meters the same, but only 350 watts out.
CW = 1900 VP SSB = 2600 VP
I have replaced the four 572b's but I cannot get more than 500 watts in
CW mode (key down) and I only see an increase of 50 watts when switching
to SSB key down.
So, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate
it.
Mike
